EPN Microneedling

It is my mission to always bring the latest treatments that will deliver the best results, so I am excited to be introducing the Lynton EPN microneedling pen.

The EPN microneedling pen, is the world’s first medical microneedling pen, to combine both microneedling, and electroporation in one treatment delivery.

Why did I choose Lynton as a preferred supplier?

It was a no brainer. Not only have they won multiple awards for the quality and safety of their devices. Their clinical results achieved with their equipment is outstanding.

This provided reassurance that I am only using the best devices possible for my clients.

Lynton is a world leading manufacturer and supplier of aesthetic, surgical and conservation lasers. Originating from the University of Manchester in 1994, the award-winning Lynton Group is the UK’s premier supplier of aesthetic technology to private clinics and the NHS.

Who is microneedling and Electroporation suitable for?

Unlike some other more invasive skin treatments, medical microneedling, is safe to use on all skin types, all skin colours, and all ages. The combination of Microneedling and Electroporation, intensifies results, to illuminate, brighten, and reduce the common signs of ageing.

What can this treatment help with?

Skin Laxity anywhere on the face and body

General skin improvement for congested, acne-prone skins

  •  Face, neck, décolleté, chin, abdomen, buttocks, thighs and other areas
  •  Wrinkles and lines
  •  Barcode lines (lips)
  •  Aged hands
  •  Excess fat or skin on neck
  •  Pigmentation
  • Tired eyes/dark circles
  •  Eye fat bags
  • Acne scarring
  • Scars/wound healing
  • Stretch marks
  • Cellulite/localised fat
  •  Alopecia
  •  Hair loss

How does it work?

Ultra-fine needles penetrate the skin at different depths, creating micro-channels which stimulate a wound healing response leading to the production of new collagen and elastin. Once these channels have been created, the electroporation technology releases               electro- stimulating pulses to increase the permeability of the skin cell membrane. This allows for increased absorption of serums applied to the skin, for hydrated, healthy skin.

Does it hurt?

During the treatment there is generally minimal discomfort. The needle depth and electroporation settings on the EPN pen can be adjusted, to customise every treatment and your comfort.

However, you can add topical anaesthetic, prior to attended the clinic if needed.

Is there any downtime after the treatment?

Gone are the ‘old days’ of causing trauma to the skin with excessive needle depths. Results can be achieved, by using much shorter needle penetration, and with the addition of the electroporation, we can be even less invasive in our treatment protocols.

Some redness and possibly swelling can occur immediately after your treatment, and this can be relieved, by using the Dermalux LED light treatment at the end of your treatment, or a treatment mask, which will calm your skin. Most people recover quickly, with any redness or swelling subsiding within a few hours. You should be fully recovered within 24 – 48 hours.

What should I do after the treatment?

A home-care post-procedure pack, with be provided along with instructions on how to care for your skin on your return home.

How long is each treatment?

Treatment times vary dependant on the area being treated, allow up to 90 mins.

How many treatments will I need before I see results?

Results can be seen after one treatment, but for the best results, that have a long-lasting effect, a course of 3-6 treatments for the face, and up to 8 treatments for the body.

What results can I expect after my course?

Most people will see an improvement 2-3 weeks after the first treatment. Results are natural but significant and will continue to improve. With appropriate skincare and daily use of sun screen, there is clinical evidence to suggest that collagen production can occur for up to 12 months following the treatment.
